Working Toward BIR Accreditation

As part of the deployment, our POS system (Mercatura Technologies) has been registered with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and is currently in the process of accreditation.

This process is an important part of developing a retail POS solution for the Philippine market. Under BIR rules, POS systems that generate invoices or receipts fall under the applicable registration and accreditation requirements for sales machines and software.

BIR also maintains an electronic sales reporting system for registered POS and cash register machines, further emphasizing the importance of properly structured retail transaction systems.

Our objective is to ensure that the system is developed and implemented with the applicable regulatory requirements in mind as we move through the accreditation process.
